Det som övar annorlunda likt ett hjärta (2016)
Publisher: Pequod Press

Hanna Hallgren's new poetry book arches around three lines written by the Austrian poet Ingeborg Bachmann: ”Laßt eine Weile jetzt. / Keins der Gefühle sprechen, / Den Muskel Herz sich anders üben”. That the heart muscle exercises differently can be crucial, for example, during a war, along a death, or through a love. The writing of the book started during the war in Gaza in 2014, when the Swedish poets Jenny Tunedal and Hanna Hallgren were in constant contact with the Palestinian and Gaza-based poet Somaya El-Sousi. One of the book's refrains, "waiting for longing," is a line by El-Sousi, translated into Swedish by Tunedal and Hallgren.

Hanna Hallgren is a poet and Professor in Literary composition, poetry and prose at Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg. She holds a doctorate degree in gender studies and has written nine books since her debut in 2001. She is also a member of the Committee of artistic research at the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet).
